Benefits of Peas

Peas Microgreens from Silverdome Gardens

Pea microgreens have high levels of the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. These carotenoids help prevent age-related macular degeneration and cataracts by protecting the eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. Pea microgreens provide many other nutrients and vitamins!

Vitamin A – Carotenoids
Pea shoots contain carotenoids, including beta carotene, which is also known as Vitamin A.

Carotenoids are fat-soluble antioxidants that have anti-cancer properties by preventing damage to cellular structures. Research strongly suggests that consuming carotenoid-rich foods reduces the incidence of cancers and diseases associated with reduced immune function, cardiovascular disease, and other degenerative disorders.

Pea shoots contain about 15% of the percent daily value (DV) of vitamin A. This is approximately four times more vitamin A than tomatoes.

The Vitamin B Suite
Pea microgreens are also a rich source of folate (B9), which plays a key role in developing and maintaining the body’s cells and protecting against DNA damage. Pea shoots contain approximately eight times more folate than bean sprouts.

This is about 43% of the DV

As far as the other B vitamins, below is a list of the percent of the DV a cup of pea microgreens provides:

  • B1 – Thiamin – 23%
  • B2 – Riboflavin – 14%
  • B3 – Niacin – 23%
  • B5 – 25%
  • B6 – 19%
  • B9 – Foliate – 43%

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a key contributor for the development, growth, and repair of all cells and tissues in the body.

Pea shoots are extremely rich in vitamin C, supplying about 20 % of an adult’s DA. Vitamin C is key in maintaining bones and teeth, proper functioning of the immune system, absorption of iron, wound repair, and many other key bodily functions.

Pea shoots contain the same amount of vitamin C as blueberries. Although some websites report much more.

Calcium
It is generally understood that calcium ensures strong bones and teeth. However, calcium is also needed for proper muscle movement, blood circulation, and neurological communication between the brain and the body.

Pea shoots are a minor contributor of calcium at only 3% of the DV. But some is better than none, especially since pea shoots provide other essential minerals.

Copper
Copper is an essential nutrient and is vital to metabolic processes, it also aids in developing and maintaining strong bones, and ensures proper neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular functioning.

It’s been estimated that up to one-quarter of North Americans may not be consuming sufficient copper in their diets.

Pea Shoots contain a whooping 36% of the DV!

Iron
Iron is an essential nutrient and plays a crucial role in hemoglobin production.

Hemoglobin transports oxygen in the blood from the lungs to the body’s tissues. As you know, red blood cells are made up of 40% hemoglobin.

Millions of red blood cells are produced each day replacing those either lost or damaged by our bodily functions.

Iron deficiency can lead to fatigue, poor immune function, poor regulation of body temperature, and cognitive impairment.

When iron deficiency remains untreated, red blood cells may drop to extremely low levels, resulting in anemia, characterized by extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, weakness, hair loss, and extreme confusion.

Yet adding one cup of pea sprouts to your daily diet will deliver 15% of the DV.

Regularly including these pea microgreens as part of a balanced daily diet can help to ensure proper iron levels.

Benefits of Crimson Clover

Crimson Clover Microgreens from Silverdome Gardens

Clover microgreens are a lovely light green and have a fresh, mild sweetness. They’re very similar to alfalfa sprouts, but with plump, crunchy cotyledons. The best health benefits of these sprouts include their ability to detoxify the body, reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, prevent chronic diseases, and boost circulation, among others.

Detoxify the Body
Research has found that clover sprouts possess the ability to improve liver function and more effectively cleanse the blood, putting less strain on your circulatory and immune systems.

Anticancer Potential
Dr. Adrian Franke, Laurie J. Custer et. al, published an article in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, which states that the number of antioxidants in clover sprouts like phytochemicals and isoflavones, may reduce cancer cell formation and slow the spread of the disease by reducing oxidative stress in the body.

Weight Loss
Due to the low-calorie count in clover sprouts, as well as the complete lack of fats or cholesterol, these small sprouts are able to help with weight loss in a major way. Their high levels of fiber and protein also help to feel full, thus preventing unnecessary snacking and overeating.

Boost Circulation
A single serving of clover sprouts contains about 5% of your daily iron intake. While this may not sound like a lot, by ensuring that you have moderate servings of iron in every meal is the best way to prevent the symptoms of anemia.

Some other benefits include:

  • Reduce hot flashes in menopausal women
  • Slow bone loss and even boost bone mineral density in pre and peri-menopausal women
  • Relieve symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
  • Assist in hormonal balance
  • Soothes the nerves
  • Good diuretic
  • Recommended as a tonic
  • Effective liver and blood purifier

Benefits of Broccoli

Broccoli Microgreens from Silverdome Gardens
Broccoli is a green vegetable that vaguely resembles a miniature tree. It belongs to the plant species known as Brassica oleracea. It’s closely related to cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale and cauliflower — all edible plants collectively referred to as cruciferous vegetables. Broccoli can provide many benefits like cancer prevention, improved bone health, lower cholesterol levels and much more.

Cancer Prevention

Cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells, which can be initiated by DNA damage due to oxidative stress. Research has shown that sulforaphane and other compounds in broccoli may protect our cells from the damage caused by oxidative stress. Other nutrients that can help protect us from oxidative stress include beta-carotene, Vitamin C and lutein. Broccoli is also rich in plant chemicals known as indoles which activate enzymes that may help clear carcinogens before they can damage DNA. As mentioned above, these nutrients are found in larger quantities in microgreens than their adult counterparts, making them a great addition to your healthy diet.

Improvements In The Health Of Pregnant Women

Broccoli microgreens are packed with nutrients that offer significant health benefits to pregnant women. These nutrients include folate which prevents birth defects, calcium for strong bones and teeth, Vitamin A for healthy vision and skin, Vitamin C for immunity and potassium to keep blood pressure levels in check. Improved Bone Health Broccoli and other green vegetables high in vitamin K are great for bone health. The vitamin K-dependent protein called osteocalcin is believed to play an important role in bone mineralization. Other bone-nourishing nutrients in broccoli microgreens include calcium, magnesium, manganese and potassium.

Lower Cholesterol Levels

Cholesterol serves many important functions in the body. That said, too much cholesterol in the bloodstream can lead to heart disease. A diet rich in plant-based foods is believed to help lower LDL cholesterol levels, and broccoli microgreens are no exception. They contain substances that bind with cholesterol-containing bile acids in the digestive system, preventing them from being reabsorbed into the bloodstream. This is one of the most profound nutrient qualities of broccoli microgreens.

Improved Blood Sugar Balance

Blood sugar increases after consuming food containing carbohydrates. This is normal, but if you have diabetes or insulin resistance, your body has a harder time getting sugar from your blood into your cells. If blood sugar stays elevated over time, damage can occur. Broccoli microgreens contain significant amounts of chromium which helps insulin do its job so that your cells can use those carbohydrates for energy. Chromium may help reduce fasting blood sugar levels in diabetics. The fiber in broccoli microgreens can also help with blood sugar balance because it slows down the rate at which foods are digested, giving your body more time to process them.

Weight Loss

Because of their high fiber content, microgreens can be useful for people who are trying to lose weight. Just don’t expect them to magically make you skinny on their own. They contain nutrients that support fat loss and keep you satisfied and nourished, but they won’t make you lose weight without a healthy diet and exercise routine.

Reduced Inflammation

Inflammation is the body’s response to injury or illness. When you sprain your ankle, for example, pro-inflammatory substances are produced which cause pain and swelling. While this pro-inflammatory response helps protect us from further harm, it can also be harmful if it persists for too long. Broccoli microgreens contain bioflavonoids and isothiocyanates- substances that help reduce inflammation by blocking enzymes which produce pro-inflammatory compounds in the body.

Improved Eye Health

The antioxidant lutein is known to help protect the retina of the eye, which can deteriorate due to oxidative stress. While this substance does not absorb well when taken in supplement form, it is very effective when ingested through food sources such as broccoli microgreens. Other microgreen vegetables high in lutein include kale and basil.

Increased Energy And Endurance

Broccoli microgreens can help fuel our body to run like a well-oiled machine. Some of the most important nutrients for energy production and endurance include iron, B vitamins (B1, B5 and B6), Vitamin E, and Zinc. Several studies have shown that deficiency in Zinc might lead to lower physical performance in adults. This deficiency is often seen in vegetarians, making microgreens an excellent source of this important nutrient. Iron plays a role in hemoglobin formation- the substance that carries oxygen to our cells. Lastly, Vitamin B1 (thiamin) and Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) support energy production in the body.

Improved Digestion And Gut Health

Many plant-based foods are known to contain significant amounts of fiber. The average adult needs 20-35 grams of fiber each day, but many people only get half that amount. Broccoli microgreens are an excellent source of prebiotic fibers which support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and help keep you regular. Fiber is also believed to help lower the risk of heart disease. These nutrients support digestive health and help prevent symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

Natural Detoxification

Detoxification is the body’s natural response to harmful substances or waste products. The colon is one major detoxification center because it is rich in good bacteria that help the body remove toxins and waste. When broccoli microgreens are included in your diet, your colon stays functional and healthy, which prevents constipation and other common bowel problems.

Improved Immunity

Broccoli microgreens are rich in vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant, strengthens the immune system and helps fight congestion, colds and flu. The high amounts of vitamin C also support the body’s ability to heal and repair tissue.

Healthy Hair, Skin And Nails

Biotin deficiency can lead to brittleness in hair and nails, as well as dermatitis. When you eat broccoli microgreens regularly, they contribute to your biotin intake so you can avoid these symptoms.

Fights Chronic Disease

Broccoli microgreens fight chronic disease by keeping the body strong and balanced. This is because they contain an abundance of nutrients like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, beta-carotene, folate, calcium potassium and iron. The vitamin A in these greens helps maintain healthy eyesight; Vitamin C supports a strong immune system; calcium and potassium support healthy blood pressure levels; and iron supports energy production.

Benefits of Arugula

Arugula Microgreens from Silverdome Gardens
Arugula is a lesser known cruciferous vegetable that provides many of the same benefits as other vegetables of the same family, which include broccoli, kale, and Brussels sprouts. Arugula can provide many benefits like reduced cancer risk, osteoporosis prevention, improved diabetes, and heart health.

Reduced cancer risk

While an overall healthful, vegetable-rich diet reduces a person’s cancer risk, studies have shown that certain groups of vegetables can have specific anticancer benefits. Cruciferous vegetables are a source of glucosinolates, which are sulfur-containing substances. Glucosinolates may be responsible for the plants’ bitter taste and their cancer-fighting power. The body breaks down glucosinolates into a range of beneficial compounds, including sulforaphane. Sulforaphane can inhibit the enzyme histone deacetylase (HDAC), which is involved in the progression of cancer cells. The ability to stop HDAC enzymes could make foods that contain sulforaphane a potentially significant part of cancer treatment in the future.

Osteoporosis prevention

Arugula is high in several key nutrients for bone health, including calcium and vitamin K. Vitamin K is involved in bone metabolism and that a deficiency can increase the risk of bone fracture. Adequate vitamin K consumption improves bone health by playing an essential role in bone mineralization and helps to improve how the body absorbs and excretes calcium, which is another crucial nutrient for bone health.

Diabetes

Several review studies have found that eating vegetables reduces a person’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes. A review study from 2016 reports that leafy green vegetables are especially beneficial. One test tube study showed that arugula extract had anti-diabetic effects in mouse skeletal muscle cells. They produced this effect by stimulating glucose uptake in the cells.

Heart Health

Vegetable intake, specifically cruciferous vegetables, has protective effects on the heart. A 2017 meta-analysis reports that diets rich in cruciferous vegetables, salads, and green leafy vegetables have links with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. In addition, a 2018 study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association reported that consuming a diet high in cruciferous vegetables could reduce atherosclerosis in older women. Atherosclerosis is a common condition where plaque builds up in the arteries, increasing a person’s risk of cardiovascular problems. The heart protective effects of these vegetables may be due to their high concentration of beneficial plant compounds, including polyphenols and organosulfur compounds.

What is CBD Body Butter and How Can It Help You?

CBD Body Butter from Silverdome Gardens

In this article we’ll look at the benefits of CBD body butter and talk about how it can be used to relieve troublesome symptoms (including pain) and do so in a natural way.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, the number one thing people complain about to me is pain. You would think that it would be from working hard, not stretching or drinking enough water (which is part of it), but most people complain from just waking up and being in pain from just sleeping the wrong way. Let alone, being active and having fun.

My mom used to tell me, “Well Samantha, you play, you pay!” and I would bounce right back the next day.

Fast forward to 30 years later, and if I don’t sleep on my back, everything hurts!

CBD Body Butter And Pain Relief

Keeping this in mind and knowing that most clientele also want pain relief “now”, I had to come up with a product that would help a lot of people’s pain “right now”.

I also was thinking, if you’re going to make a product people can put all over their body, then why not make it smooth, moisturizing, and deeply conditioning with not only CBD, but other great ingredients as well.

Then it hit me, a CBD body butter would be able to do all of those things with just the right ingredients.

We combined grapeseed oil, shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, arnica oil, and just a hint of orange essential oil as well as hemp derived CBD to create our amazing Silverdome Gardens CBD Body Butter.

Body Butter from Silverdome Gardens

Why The Ingredients In CBD Body Butter Matter

What do each of these ingredients do to help you?

Let’s dive in!

Grapeseed oil is oil that is pressed from the seeds of grapes which is a by-product of the oil used for making wines. It is known for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties, as well as high amounts of vitamin E, making it a great treatment for the skin.

Since grapeseed oil makes the skin softer, and absorbs nicely, it is known for helping with acne treatments, lightening the skin and tightening your pores!

The next item on our list of ingredients is Shea Butter

Shea Butter is a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. It is ivory in color when raw and commonly dyed yellow with borututu root or palm oil.

According to Bulk Apothecary, shea butter has many benefits including, but not limited to: containing vitamins A, E, and F, highly moisturizing, skin softening, calms irritated skin, natural SPF and sun burn relief, anti inflammatory properties that eases aches and pains, soothes and heals burns, relieves joint pain, natural hair conditioner, restores elasticity, fades scars, stretch marks, and dark spots, soothes eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, burns, and wounds, protects skin from free radicals, eliminates shaving bumps and can even help with anti-aging!

Holy cow, all of that in just one ingredient, of course we had to add it to our CBD Body Butter!

Next up we have Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is made by pressing fresh coconut meat or dried coconut meat from mature coconuts. The processing of it does not involve high temperatures or chemicals, which is great!

While reading through the benefits and uses of coconut oil, I decided it was a must to add to our CBD body butter.

Not only does it moisturize dry skin, it also reduces inflammation, can promote wound healing and contains great antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.

Are you seeing a trend here?!

All of the ingredients we are adding are all supposed to support your skin and help promote healing, which means less pain. These first three ingredients are also great for skin absorption, and I knew we were on the right track.

CBD Body Butter from Silverdome Gardens

How It All Came Together

I started to stir all of these wonderful skin care ingredients together and discovered we needed a binding agent.

Something natural, scent free, and colorless. I began doing research and landed on beeswax. Beeswax is naturally occurring wax that is produced in the hives by the honeybees.

They have glands under their abdomen that secretes the wax and then it is used to build the honeycomb. Beeswax is extracted from the nest when the beekeepers extract the honey.

They cut off the wax caps from each honeycomb cell, with an uncapping knife or machine.

Besides just being a binding agent, Beeswax has some great benefits for the skin. It can brighten your complexion, it has anti-inflammatory (there’s that word again) and antibacterial properties, it can help fade scars and is packed with vitamin A to help fight against the free radicals that cause signs of early aging and lastly it’s a natural humectant.

What the heck does that mean?!

That means it’s filled with protective wax that helps to draw moisture to your skin and keep it there.

How cool! So all of the other ingredients will soften and moisturize and the beeswax can help to keep it all in. This CBD Body Butter was getting better and better with each ingredient, but I couldn’t just stop there. Knowledge is power, right?

Adding Oils Made Things Even Better

While attending massage school I learned about a lot of different massage oils, essential oils, as well as oils that help for skin, muscle and joint care.

One that always stuck out to me and I continue to use is Arnica Oil

Arnica oil comes from the perennial Arnica montana, a yellow-orangish flower that grows in the mountains of Europe and Siberia.

It is sometimes called the mountain daisy because of its appearance. Creams and ointments are usually made from it, or you can use pure arnica oil, which is what we’ve added to our CBD Body Butter.

A few uses of arnica oil are to decrease muscle soreness and aches, decrease bruising as well as to decrease joint pain, swelling, and inflammation.

Once again, what do all of these properties lead to? Our end goal, LESS PAIN.

Therapy In How It Smells

After I had the perfect ingredients for a skin care product that focuses on pain relief, among lots of other benefits, I wanted it to also bring people joy when they thought about the smell of putting it on after a fresh shower, and make them smile.

Orange essential oil, like arnica, is made using a cold-pressed method which uses pressure, opposed to chemicals, to squeeze the oils from the rind. Sometimes, the leaves and flowers from the orange plant can be used as well. According to healthline.com, orange oil has many uses. A few of the common ways that orange oil is used is to:

  • Lift your mood or reduce stress
  • Treat skin conditions such as acne
  • Reduce pain and inflammation (!)

How perfect is that? An oil that smells good, can lift your mood, and help to reduce pain and inflammation, I thought that was just the scent we needed.

*A few notes about orange oil and safety. Orange oil has a risk of phototoxicity. Although it is low, you should still be aware to not use this product and then go sit in the sun. Phototoxicity means they can cause a painful skin reaction if you use them and go out in the sun.

There is so little in our CBD Body Butter, that I don’t ever see it being a problem, but I would exercise caution knowing about its phototoxic properties.

The Star of The Show: Hemp Derived CBD

Lastly, you can’t have CBD Body Butter without its main ingredient, hemp derived CBD, farmed right here at our farm in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

You’re probably wondering, what is CBD and how can it help being in body butter for me?

Well friends, CBD is short for Cannabidiol, a molecule that makes up a hemp plant. Yes, there is also CBD in Hemp’s cousin plant, Cannabis, but Cannabis is typically high in THC with little to none in the CBD department.

Hemp is just the opposite, FULL of CBD and little to no THC. All of our products are THC FREE. CBD hemp flowers are non-psychoactive, which means it will not get its user high.

Today, CBD is considered one of the most studied cannabinoids of the hemp plant, primarily because it is believed to have a range of therapeutic properties. The human (and animal bodies) have naturally occurring neurotransmitters to take in cannabidiol, which are a group of fatty compounds found in hemp but also produced by other plants and the human body.

Researchers found a few benefits that CBD has are: it can significantly reduce intense pain, itchy sensations, and cold

Other research also suggests that topical CBD may be useful for treating joint and muscle pain associated with other conditions, such as migraine. Topical CBD may also benefit certain skin disorders. Since every person reacts differently, their results may vary.

Final Thoughts on CBD Body Butter Benefits

Here at Silverdome Gardens we have had amazing feedback on our body butter and continue to use it daily ourselves.

Personally, I apply the CBD Body Butter after I get out of the shower to prevent dry skin, and on my body throughout the day, to help with pain and inflammation, particularly in my hands, neck, and feet from working.

The pain relief starts about 10-15 minutes after application and it’s so wonderful to feel the difference. Your life really begins when the pain stops and that’s why we made this company. To help you and your animals have another alternative for your wellbeing.

Everything You Need To Know About CBD Treats for Pets

Everything You Need To Know About CBD Treats for Pets

First of all, you may be wondering, what is CBD and what does it do for my pet? (looking at CBD Treats for Pets) Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, is the second most active ingredient in hemp and has been shown to have various health benefits. It can be derived in relatively large quantities from hemp, and be used as a medical treatment.

While being a part of hemp, CBD also comes from hemp’s cousin plant, marijuana. However, unlike THC, which can get you “high”, CBD is a component (one of hundreds) that does not get you “high”!

A report done by the World Health Organization states, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

All About CBD & Pets

Alright, so how does that relate to your four legged friends? Well, just like humans, dogs and cats also have an endocannabinoid system that allows them to uptake the CBD and benefit from it as well!

The body’s endocannabinoids act as master regulators that signal other systems when to speed up or slow down, working to stabilize the body and return it to homeostasis.

Is CBD Safe For Pets?

A frequently asked question is “I know that marijuana can make my dog sick, or possibly even die, is CBD harmful?

While THC, CBD’s cousin, is toxic to pets, CBD is pretty harmless. Side effects that have been documented in research are diarrhea, and after several weeks, some changes in liver enzyme values.

The main concern with CBD and pets is that it inhibits a chemical in the body called cytochrome P450 that is responsible for metabolizing most medications. If a medication’s efficacy depends on its metabolized product, CBD could render it less effective. If a medication’s safety depends on it being cleared from the body within a certain time frame, CBD could cause it to build up to toxic levels.

Never give your pet CBD without your veterinarian’s knowledge, especially if they are on other medications.

That brings us to the next question, does CBD work and what can it provide for my pet?

Does CBD Work For Pets?

Although there is little research done on CBD and pets, it has been shown that they can benefit from the plant in various ways, including anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, shiny coat, improved appetite, joint health, and arthritis.

An article out of Forbes done by Baylor College of Medicine who teamed up with CBD brand Medterra to perform a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study ran a course of 4 weeks and included 20 large dogs who had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis.

Each dog was randomly assigned to receive either a placebo or 1 of 3 different CBD product options. Each dog was carefully evaluated by veterinarians and their owners regarding the dog’s mobility and pain both before and after the 4 week regimen of CBD.

The results showed no improvement in the dogs who received the placebo as well as the group of dogs who received a very mild dose of CBD.

By the end of the 4 week test the dogs who received higher doses of CBD all saw significant improvement to their joint mobility as well as their overall quality of life.

How Does CBD Work in Pets?

Before you decide on buying CBD for your dog, there are several things you should know about how it works.

Pet owners have to give it to the animal orally to help them digest it easily. It must be in an oil or edible form to be absorbed into the bloodstream.

The product contains a naturally occurring, beneficial compound called cannabidiol. Based on studies, CBD is essential in the management of neuropathic pain, inflammation, anxiety, seizure disorders, and opioid dependence. However, pet owners were already using marijuana to treat their dogs and cats even before hemp derived CBD.

How to Give CBD to Dogs

Administering CBD to dogs is very simple and can be done almost anywhere and anytime! Here are some basic steps on how to give CBD to your dogs and ensure the best results.

Step 1: Check the amount of CBD you are going to use. You can refer to the product’s label for the recommended amount. In some cases, you have to calculate the pet’s weight to get the exact amount to give. The basic dosing rule for cats and dogs: 1–5 mg CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight. It is always best to start with the lowest dose and see how your dog reacts over the next few hours.

Step 2: Mix the CBD pet tincture CBD oil with food, water, treats or directly into your companion’s mouth. It could be in any form of edible food, whether wet or dry as well. It is up to the pets parent to decide what product best fits their needs and either use CBD infused treats or
CBD infused oil tinctures.

Step 3: Now it is time to let them try it out! Once the CBD product has been ingested you will want to monitor your pet for the next few hours. If the first lowest test dose did not seem to help your pet, it is now safe to go ahead and bump up the dose a bit. If you still see no effects, wait until the next day and up the dose once more. Monitor your friend and repeat this process until you have found the right dose for your animal.

CBD has many benefits for dogs. These include:

These are all signs of anxiety in your pet. CBD is used to relieve anxiety in dogs. It is a great option to ease the dog without using the conventional medicines often prescribed to dogs.

Treating Seizures

Did you know that some breeds of dogs are prone to epilepsy? CBD can effectively help in the treatment of such seizures.

An article at aaha.org reviewed a study and the results showed a significant reduction in seizure frequency in the dogs that received doses of CBD in comparison to the placebo group. While the CBD group showed a greater range of response to the treatment, the proportion of dogs showing any response was similar in both groups. No adverse behavioral effects were reported by owners.

If your dog is having seizures CBD can be a great option to give a try due to very minimal side effects compared to some commercialized prescriptions.
