What does Hemp Derived mean?

Hemp derived CBD means that the CBD is taken from an Industrial Hemp plant, opposed to a marijuana plant. That being said, CBD is the same at a molecular level in each plant.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in hemp but also produced by other plants and the human body. They are the primary chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. Hemp can produce more than 100 different phytocannabinoids naturally. Of the 100+ non-intoxicating phytocannabinoids, Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most widely known. Others include Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabinol (CBN) and, more.

What is CBD and how does it work?

Cannabidiol or CBD for short, is non- intoxicating phytocannabinoid. Phytocannabinoids are chemical compounds found in hemp plants. There are over 100 different phytocannabinoids that can be found in hemp.

Research shows significant potential for phytocannabinoids to support general health & wellness.

CBD (cannabidiol) is a well-researched cannabinoid dominant in our Silverdome Gardens hemp flower. CBD hemp flowers are non-psychoactive, which means it will not get its user high. Today, CBD is considered one of the most studied cannabinoids of the hemp plant, primarily because it is believed to have a range of therapeutic properties.

How is CBD different from marijuana?

The main difference between CBD and Marijuana is that Marijuana has a psychoactive chemical called THC in it. CBD is a chemical in Marijuana but it does not have a psychoactive part, the part that makes you feel “high”.

Do hemp derived products show up on a UA test?

Much like the consumption of poppy seeds may lead to a positive drug test for opioids, the consumption of certain hemp products may lead to a positive drug test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is inherently present in trace amounts in hemp plants. The legal limit of THC in hemp is no more than 0.3%.

Furthermore, the underlying science behind the conversion of certain cannabinoids, for example cannabidiol (CBD), when consumed, to other related cannabinoids, like THC, is not yet fully understood. Although the risk is low, individual biochemistry, the possibility of conversion of cannabinoids, and the possibility of trace, but legal, amounts of THC inherent in hemp products, we strongly suggest consulting your healthcare provider before consuming any hemp products if you are subject to drug testing.

Does CBD have side effects?

Though it’s often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you’re taking, such as blood thinners. Another cause for concern is the unreliability of the purity and dosage of CBD in products.

What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are chemical compounds responsible for producing the different aromas we smell in various hemp strains. Now, hemp plants have a range of terpenes, each with a unique aromatic signature of their own. For example, hemp flowers dominant in myrcene will emit an herbal aroma, while hemp flowers rich in caryophyllene emit a spicy, peppery fragrance. Apart from playing a role in creating a fragrance, terpenes can have a coherent interaction with the endocannabinoid system. These interactions within the endocannabinoid system can provide a range of therapeutic effects such as stress relief, relaxation, calming, analgesic, and more! For example, myrcene might have body relaxing properties.

What is a hemp CBD flower?

Hemp CBD flower is a cannabis flower that has a larger percentage of CBD than THC or other minor cannabinoids and is most likely federally legal. Are there seeds in hemp CBD flowers?

If the farmer is cultivating industrial hemp for cbd-rich flowers they should be diligent about culling all male plants out of the field before any flower stage begins. With the males removed there will be no pollen to pollinate the female flowers rendering them seedless. Industrial hemp crops grown for fiber will not be grown with feminized seed thus producing large amounts of pollen and having a crop filled with many unwanted seeds for cbd flower users.

Are CBD oil and hemp seed oil the same thing

Hemp seed oil and CBD oil are very different products. CBD oil uses the stalks, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant in its production. These contain a higher concentration of CBD, which is a compound with numerous potential health benefits. Meanwhile, hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant.

It’s important to start with a lower dose and build up to a comfortable level that is right for you.
